A few months ago, a friend and I set up a “We should all be vegan, change my mind” table on a busy walking trail. The first people I engaged in conversation with was a couple who were ex-cattle ranchers.
They said their 2 adult sons were both vegan. Imagine that, ranchers children turned vegan. What would possess them to shun consuming the animals they were raised to think of as food?
CATTLE RANCH TURNED VEGAN SANCTUARY
As it turns out, according to Renee King-Sonnen of Rowdy Girl Sancturary, this is a common scenario that she hears from ranchers and farmers. Their children are going vegan and do not want to inherit the cruelty. They are making the connection.

Renee states in the below video, “I’ve talked to ranchers.
8th generation cattle ranchers that tell me, ‘our kids don’t want to inherit the farm’.
They’re going vegan and vegetarian. I’ve heard this over and over. And this is one of the big problems coming into our society. These kids that are coming up, do not want to inherit the cruelty.
Period.
We’ve got to help them. The RAP is positioned to do that.”
RAP is working with industry experts to transition cattle ranchers and animal farmers into viable veganic, compassionate businesses.
